Re.vive is me, Rob Rigg. ​I began my professional life as a Town Planner, working across London on some of the capitals most exciting regeneration projects. Despite a love for the property industry, I quickly realised desk-life wasn't for me, and in 2007, building on my growing passion for carpentry and furniture making, I decided to move into the trades that realise the spaces I had been planning.
City & Guilds plumbing, electrics and decorating courses, plus 15 years of projects, have all broadened and built my knowledge of all these areas, but ultimately my passion for working with what we have. I have worked with clients to realise more from their homes or workplaces. Reworking layouts or existing fitted furniture, redecorating & revitalising tired decor and designing bespoke elements that transform spaces. All with the aim of delivering space that truly meets your needs. Without breaking the bank.

Having recently returned to East Lothian, I wanted to establish myself and Re.vive as a company that is passionate about helping you understand how trades people best fit together to get the most from your spend. To help you reuse, repurpose and re-imagine what you already have, while also harnessing the power of a fine finish to make your space really sing.

Decorating & Fine Finishing
Picking colours, finishes and then sourcing and applying them in a way which matches your style and enhances the space and architecture is what I love doing. Time in preparation i.e. repairing cracks and fine finishing of walls, is key to achieving the finish that will not only look amazing but also endure. A statement staircase perhaps, or experimenting with rich strong colours or unusual finishes? I'm here to help!
Plumbing
I use my plumbing skills to Re.vive bathrooms and kitchens. Beyond general plumbing maintenance, I can help rethink an approach, hide it more effectively, make it more efficient or, even better, celebrate and display it.
Woodwork & Furniture
No property is perfectly straight or square, no matter how much we may wish it were. And yet the fit and finish of our woodwork and furniture can be what delivers in any renovation project. I specialise in everything from the crafting of bespoke wooden architraves and skirtings, to tweaking Ikea base units and on to building bespoke fitted furniture and shelving. General Maintenance & Repair
Lovely spaces get well-used, so I also offer a general maintenance and repair service. From fixing broken cabinetry and repairing damaged floors to rehanging doors, fitting light fittings, re-routing/hiding cabling and even hanging pictures, I am happy to help so simply give me a ring or complete the enquiry form.
