Projects by Re.vive

Below are some recent examples of Re.vive's work, at all different scales, to give you a feel for what I can do and how I may be able to help on your project. It's worth also following me on Instagram, for more examples of my work.

Kitchen design and installation in London

A Re.vive(d) kitchen in Streatham Hill

This project transformed a poorly fitted, tired looking Ikea kitchen on a tight budget. The majority of the base units were retained and strengthened, new doors were hand-painted and finished with contemporary handles, an undermount sink, shelving, dividers and a whole new island unit then completed this full refresh.

Stairway to heaven

Stripping decades of paint off these stairs took a fair while, but this plus the sanding and wall repairs provided a great base for a high quality finish. Wood panelling up the stairs and a bespoke radiator cover adds colour and proportion. The brass sheeting on the risers adds a touch of luxury and playfulness, alongside the neon yellow carpet whipping chosen by the client.

The Green Room

My client for this project was a big fan of strong colours and the 'luxe' look. The usual 'feature' wall needed to be ramped up. After deepening the skirting boards and architrave, and tidying up various cracks on the walls, we decided to go for this strong green but extend it onto the ceiling and adjacent walls to create a bit of a cocoon effect around the bed. New light fittings and some bespoke shelves finished the look.

Sexy little Re.vive

This little set of drawers were lying unloved in a clients shed. After stripping back some old nasty purple chalk paint, and repairing some of the drawers, we agreed on a colour palette that would work in their newly decorated bedroom. Add some new little handles and this piece quickly became one of my favourite furniture Re.vive projects.

Making a feature

To fit a bath into a tiny bathroom fit for a family, a hole had been punched through into an adjacent bedroom. Instead of hiding this in the bedroom, I designed some bespoke cladding to make a feature of this intrusion. The mirror is built into the cladding but I also made it demountable, so in future access to the shower plumbing in behind  remains simple, for maintenance.
